NOTD: Nicole by OPI's Sky's the Limit.

All pictures shown are 2 coats, no top coat in direct sunlight.

I was recently surprised to learn that Terry White Chemists carry the Nicole by OPI brand and like the nail polish junkie I am, I made it my business to go in to have a look. Sky's the Limit caught my eye with it's happy shade of blue with blue micro glitter and after handing in $14.95 it was mine.

The formula was slightly too sheer for my liking but with 2 coats it seemed to even out and there was almost no visible nail line (ah the dreaded VNL). I had no issues with the brush and the polish dried quite quickly. In fact this polish pretty much meets all my requirements - colour matches the bottle, easy to apply, dries quickly, and doesn't chip easily. From memory, this one lasted at least 4 days without chipping so I think it gets a big tick there. Despite the odd shape of the bottle (which I think would make them awkward to store together) it did not affect the ease of applying the polish.  Not sure what everyone else is doing but I normally apply mine while sitting on the couch so I usually have brush in one hand and the bottle in the other simultaneously.

Here's my issue... $14.95 a bottle. That's it people...let's face it I am cheap. The bottle contains about the same amount as a bottle of China Glaze polish but I can get one of those for approx $7AUD (cost of the polish and postage). So my thoughts are if they have a colour you must have and that is unique then buy it, I don't think you will be disappointed, otherwise my thriftiness says no no no. lol
