Don't Blame Me: Sleek i-Divine Eyeshadow Palettes

I'd been eyeing off Sleek eyeshadow palettes since I saw the brand mentioned in a Pixiewoo video but I really wasn't tempted to purchase until I saw them in real life when Makeup BFF Dee let me put my paws all over hers. Well that was the end of it... within days I had made my own purchase of the sleek palettes. I ordered 3 palettes in Original, Storm and Sunset - although they look the same on top they are really well labelled on their bottom sides.

So let's have a look at each of these little lovelies....

The Original palette followed by swatches:

This palette includes one Matte shade (the black one) - the remaining shades kind of remind me of MAC veluxe pearl finish. All of the shades here provide excellent colour payoff - except for the black which is odd as the black is a common colour to all three palettes and has excellent colour payoff in the other two. Eh what can you do? lol. The colours in this palette are gorgeous, there is just something pretty for everyone.

The Sunset palette followed by swatches:

Although I love my neutrals I was a little disappointed by this palette... too many of the shades are almost identical when applied. Again the black is the only matte shade...and the blue one seems a little out of place to me, but what do I know? Don't be put off as there are several lovely shades in here but when compared to the Original, the original offers a lot more variation is shades.

The Storm palette followed by swatches:

This palette is gorgeous. There are 3 matte shades in this palette... the 3rd on the top row and the last 2 shades on the bottom row. It doesn't really show in the swatches very well but the bottom 3rd colour is actually a gorgeous rich green which has to be my favourite one out of the palette.I think you could make gorgeous smokey eye looks from this palette in particular.
A lot of these colours remind me of Naked palette shades but I wont be able to compare that until I get my hands on the Naked palette.

Round Up: Great portable palettes - very secure and solid packaging. I love the big mirror inside the lid - I am definitely taking these when I travel from now on. The colour pay off is good across the board (and the black in the last 2 is so dark I'd love to see it compared to Mac's carbon).

These palettes retail on Sleek's website for $11.75USD. The shipping for the 3 palettes was $13.50. They have also released some new palettes as well but I am resisting temptation.

You can also get these palettes from Crush Cosmetics if you prefer to order from within Australia where they retail at $18.95.

  1. I bought the new ones. I think I'm going to buy all the LE ones unless they're mingers. They're super cheap and I love the quality. Even if each palette only has a couple of colours I would use, it's still worth it to me.

  4. hmm, I think I prefer the original if I were to buy any. I've seen these in real life and played with them, I particularly love the green in the storm palette but it really does show in this does it? I'm thinking i might buy them after I work out what my USA haul will be when I get back!!!

I am DETERMINED to get my hands on the Naked Palette if I have to go to 100 sephora stores!! lol
